Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to long-term care patients and residents
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans that make a real difference
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document clinical care clearly and promptly to support continuity and quality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — your voice helps guide care decisions
- Participate in Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
- Support patient and family education, promoting dignity and quality of life
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse credential (RN) — licensed as required for practice
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — current and verifiable
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist (required for onboarding)
- Ability to pass license/certificate verification and Trinity-required background checks
- Successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen and respirator evaluation / fit test
- Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, and physical/health statement
- Experience or comfort working in long-term care settings is highly valued
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and vital-sign interpretation skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Infection control best practices and wound care fundamentals
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced long-term care environment
- Comfort with electronic health record documentation and clinical checklists
