Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to long term care residents
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely care interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely following facility policies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the charting system
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility-specific procedures
• Participate in required competency testing including Trinity specialty assessments
• Complete required screenings and health documentation to maintain compliance

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan or eligible for license verification
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience working in long term care settings preferred
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
• Must complete required health clearances: Fit Test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, and physical/health statement

Education

• Active RN license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in geriatric care
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and charting systems
• Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
• Ability to work independently in a per diem role and adapt to varied assignments
