Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Perform thorough clinical assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
• Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain clear communication
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate care
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents
• Educate residents and families to support health, comfort, and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (will require license/certificate verification)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Compliance with health requirements including TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, and physical/health statement
• Successful completion of Trinity 10 panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid long term care and geriatric nursing knowledge
• Medication administration and clinical assessment skills
• Proficient documentation and EMR skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Infection control and safety-focused practice
• Ability to complete competency testing and demonstrate clinical skills
