Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
- Perform thorough clinical assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
- Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain clear communication
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate care
- Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect residents
- Educate residents and families to support health, comfort, and quality of life
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (will require license/certificate verification)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Compliance with health requirements including TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, and physical/health statement
- Successful completion of Trinity 10 panel drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid long term care and geriatric nursing knowledge
- Medication administration and clinical assessment skills
- Proficient documentation and EMR skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Infection control and safety-focused practice
- Ability to complete competency testing and demonstrate clinical skills
