Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Assess resident condition, monitor vitals, and respond to changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per policy
- Document care thoroughly in the medical record and maintain clear communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
- Participate in required competency testing and skills checklist completion
- Promote infection prevention practices and adhere to required immunization standards
- Support residents' quality of life through person-focused interventions and advocacy
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be verifiable)
- Current BLS required
- Current ACLS required
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as required
- Successful license/certificate verification
- Compliance with Trinity personal health requirements: color vision, 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine
- Negative Trinity 10-panel drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical experience in long-term care principles and geriatric nursing
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to identify resident needs
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Familiarity with infection control and immunization protocols
- Comfortable with competency testing and skills validation processes
- Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff and families
- Ability to prioritize care and manage time across multiple residents
