Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Perform thorough assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document according to policy
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, and allied health professionals to optimize care
- Support infection prevention practices and ensure immunization and screening compliance
- Participate in competency testing and skills validation to maintain high standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid for practice) — license/certificate verification required
- Current BLS certification
- Experience or comfort working in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings preferred
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as required
- Must meet health requirements: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), required immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza) and physical/health statement
- Required pre-employment screenings: Trinity 10-panel drug screen, respirator evaluation, and fit test
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for LTC populations
- Competence in medication administration and wound care basics
- Familiarity with infection control principles and vaccine requirements
- Comfortable learning and demonstrating Trinity-specific competencies
- Clear communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
- Accurate documentation and basic electronic health record familiarity
