Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and immunizations following facility policy (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and communicate changes in condition
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with immunization and drug-screen requirements
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
- Support residents' dignity, comfort, and quality of life through individualized care
- Respond to clinical situations professionally and escalate concerns as appropriate
Qualifications
- Active RN license (valid and in good standing)
- Experience in long-term care nursing or demonstrated interest in LTC
- Up-to-date immunizations as listed (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Successful completion of Trinity 10 Panel drug screen and a current Physical/Health Statement
- Comfortable working in a per diem/open pool model with flexible availability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of long-term care practices and resident-focused care
- Medication administration and immunization protocols
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting
- Basic assessment skills for changes in resident condition
- Infection control and compliance with health screening requirements
- Teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication with residents and families
