Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the care team
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver personalized resident care
Qualifications
- Current/state-certified CNA credential in good standing
- Required immunizations and health documentation: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, and a current Physical/Health Statement
- Negative Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (per facility requirement)
- Comfort working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment and adapting to varied assignments
- Strong communication skills and a resident-centered attitude
- Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding and trainings
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent training
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and PPE use
- Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Teamwork mindset and ability to communicate with clinical staff and families
- Time management and adaptability in fast-moving care settings
