Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care tailored to long-term care needs
- Assess and monitor residents' conditions, documenting changes and notifying providers
- Administer medications and treatments per facility policy and physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
- Perform thorough and timely documentation in the resident record and EMR
- Support infection prevention practices and ensure compliance with immunization/testing requirements
- Advocate for residents' dignity, safety, and quality of life
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Experience or interest in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings preferred
- Ability to pass Trinity-required checks: specialty competency testing, 10-panel drug screen, respirator evaluation, color vision
- Up-to-date immunizations and testing as required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, COVID-19, PPD/IGRA)
- Successful completion of fit test and physical/health statement
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for LTC residents
- Medication administration and documentation proficiency
- Familiarity with long-term care workflows and interdisciplinary communication
- Infection control, isolation precautions, and immunization awareness
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely charting
- Excellent communication and empathy when working with residents and families
