Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for long-term care residents
- Assess resident health status and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care
- Document clinical findings and interventions thoroughly in the medical record
- Monitor and report changes in residents condition promptly to ensure safety
- Support resident independence and dignity through respectful communication and care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - state licensure required (license verification required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Experience or comfort working in long-term care (LTC) settings
- Completion of required health screenings and vaccinations as listed (TB testing, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
- Successful completion of Trinity-specific health requirements and fit testing
- Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and meet employment health standards
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills in long-term care
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with LTC regulations and standards of care
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and resident advocacy
- Basic comfort with electronic medical records and charting
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport with residents and families
