Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Perform accurate assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support excellent outcomes
- Follow infection prevention protocols and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in competency testing and skills validation to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (PA license verification required)
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Experience or comfort working in long-term care (LTC) settings preferred
- Completion of facility-required screenings and health records (e.g., PPD/IGRA, immunizations, physical)
- Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing, skills checklist, and 10-panel drug screen as part of onboarding
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of long-term care nursing practices and resident-focused care
- Proficiency in medication administration and clinical documentation
- Skills in care planning, wound care basics, and monitoring chronic conditions
- Familiarity with infection control, immunization requirements, and TB screening
- Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Comfort with competency testing processes and following standardized checklists
