Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered long-term care to residents in the LTC setting
- Perform thorough assessments and create clear, prioritized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document clinical care and observations in the patient record in a timely manner
- Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, and support teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Follow infection control protocols and participate in safety initiatives
- Complete required Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist to demonstrate clinical readiness
Qualifications
- Active RN license (ability to practice in Massachusetts required or compact state where applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in long-term care nursing or demonstrated comfort caring for LTC residents
- Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Must be able to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen, fit test, respirator evaluation, and required immunizations
- Current license/certification verification and health documentation as listed (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Reliable communication and teamwork skills with a professional bedside manner
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and LTC best practices
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Basic Life Support and emergency response procedures
- Infection control and resident safety protocols
- Charting and electronic health record familiarity
- Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced LTC environment
- Comfort with competency-based testing and skills validation processes
