Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered direct care to assisted living residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Accurately document care, observations and resident interactions in the chart
• Support a safe, clean and dignified living environment for residents
• Participate in required competency testing and on-boarding processes
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to complete License/Certificate Verification and Trinity competency testing
• Must meet health requirements: Fit Test, 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot), MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination as required
• Successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen and physical/health statement
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work per-diem assignments

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification required
• BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident care fundamentals and assisted living standards
• Infection control best practices and proper use of PPE
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassion, patience and a commitment to resident dignity
