Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on every shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy
• Collaborate with CNAs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families with kindness and clarity about care plans
• Support unit flow by helping with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (valid in North Carolina or compact license)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS or PALS if required by unit
• Must meet facility health requirements: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap
• COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination per facility policy
• Successful Trinity 10 Panel drug screen and completed physical/health statement
• Prior acute care or long-term care experience preferred but open to dedicated RNs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• For CNA applicants: valid CNA certification and high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable with medication administration and common nursing procedures
• Clear and timely documentation in electronic health records
• Team-oriented communication and the ability to work independently when needed
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
• Adaptability to varied unit needs as a per diem team member

This is a travel/contract opportunity in North Carolina.
