Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Accurately document care delivered and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Follow infection control practices and facility health screening requirements
- Complete required Trinity competency testing and site-specific onboarding tasks
- Maintain required certifications and health screenings to ensure resident safety
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to pass License/Certificate Verification and Trinity specialty competency testing
- Must be able to complete required health screenings: 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 as applicable
- Successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen and physical/health statement
- Fit test and Trinity respirator evaluation and Trinity color vision testing as required
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong focus on resident safety, dignity, and comfort
- Basic patient care skills including safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
- Attention to detail for accurate charting and following care plans
- Willingness to learn and complete facility-specific competency testing
