Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a per diem pool
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs and observe patients for changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support the clinical team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Follow infection prevention practices and facility policies to keep everyone safe
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and license/certificate verification as part of onboarding
- Ability to pass required health screenings and immunizations (fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 as required)
- Clean Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and satisfactory physical/health statement
- Comfort working in a per diem/pool role with flexibility and dependability
Education
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient-centered care and basic nursing skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for following competency checklists and facility protocols
