Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Measure and record vital signs and report any significant changes to nursing staff promptly
• Follow care plans and participate in implementing individualized resident interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Practice infection control, safety protocols, and proper use of PPE to protect residents and staff
• Support admissions, transfers, and daily routines to help the unit run smoothly
• Communicate effectively with team members and families to ensure coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state requirements must be met)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Successful license/certificate verification per employer requirements
• Ability to pass required health screenings and immunizations (see job requirements)
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work per diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved state CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs collection and basic clinical observation
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Accurate documentation and charting
• Effective, compassionate communication with residents and families
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment
• Safe resident transfers and mobility assistance techniques

This is a travel/contract position in Indiana.
