Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care as a valued member of the care team
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs and report significant changes to nursing staff
- Support safe infection control practices and follow facility protocols
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain required competencies
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient experience
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) and active license/certificate verification
- BLS certification (required)
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
- Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations: Fit Test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Influenza vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine
- Ability to pass Trinity 10 Panel drug screen and Trinity respirator evaluation and color vision checks
- Comfort working per diem and adapting quickly to different unit workflows
Education
- CNA certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and safe transfer techniques
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow facility policies, competency checklists, and safety protocols
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
