Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to support resident dignity
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Monitor and document resident observations, including vital signs and behavior changes, accurately and promptly
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes to the nursing team to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain quality standards
- Maintain infection control practices and adhere to facility policies and health requirements
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- License/certificate verification and successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen
- Up-to-date immunizations or documentation (2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Physical/health statement and Trinity color vision check as part of onboarding
- Previous CNA experience preferred; open to per diem CNAs comfortable working in long-term care settings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-centered care and infection control practices
- Comfortable performing ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
- Clear, compassionate verbal communication and teamwork
- Accurate charting and attention to detail for documentation
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced per diem environment
- Willingness to complete competency testing and follow facility-specific protocols
