Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions accurately and promptly
- Support nurses and interdisciplinary team members by following care plans and communicating changes
- Perform safe transfer, ambulation, and positioning techniques to protect patient dignity and safety
- Complete required Trinity skills checklists and competency testing to maintain clinical standards
- Participate in infection control practices, including vaccination and screening compliance
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- License/Certificate verification on file and up to date
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
- Required health screenings and immunizations: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), COVID-19 vaccination and Trinity COVID questionnaire, Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Influenza vaccine
- Trinity 10-panel drug screen, fit test, physical/health statement, and color vision screening as applicable
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care: bathing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, specimen collection assistance, and documentation
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with nursing staff
- Time management, adaptability, and attention to detail in a per diem setting
- Comfort with electronic charting or paper documentation systems
