Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Support infection prevention practices and adhere to PPE and fit-test requirements
- Demonstrate competency by performing tasks on the Trinity Skills Checklist
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care
- Participate in required health screenings, immunizations, and competency checks
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote patient comfort and safety
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-approved) or eligibility to hold one
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Successful License/Certificate Verification as required
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass Fit Test and Trinity respirator evaluation
- Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), and required immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Reliable, patient-focused attitude and comfort working in a per-diem/pool environment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills including ADLs and safe patient handling
- Proficiency in taking and reporting vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control practices and PPE use
- Clear, compassionate communication and effective teamwork
- Accurate documentation and good time management
- Comfort with competency-based checklists and clinical testing processes
