Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to prevent falls and injuries
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care in charts or electronic records clearly and on time
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (North Carolina) or eligible to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Comfortable with hands-on resident care and following care plans
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; a positive, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Infection prevention and clean-room practices
• Basic charting and clear documentation habits
• Compassionate communication with residents, families, and clinical teams
