Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting — with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility while using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation to support excellent continuity of care
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe
• Communicate observations and resident needs to RNs and other care team members
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through kindness and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated compassion, reliability and strong communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and immunization/health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs monitoring and reporting
• Basic infection prevention and safety procedures
• Accurate documentation and charting
• Effective teamwork and clear interpersonal communication
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and safe transfer techniques
