Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility and positioning while following established protocols
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in condition to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
• Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
• Support mealtime assistance and maintain proper infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain upon start
• Must meet facility-required health screenings and background checks
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, grooming and toileting assistance
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to take and document accurate vital signs and output/input
• Familiarity with infection prevention standards and PPE use
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
