Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients by assisting with activities of daily living
• Support resident comfort and dignity through respectful personal care and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Assist the caregiving team with safe transfers and positioning
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Class: CNA) — required
• Active state authorization to work in North Carolina or ability to obtain it
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and basic clinical care
• Skill in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and mobility support
• Ability to take and chart vital signs accurately
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical team members
• Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to follow care plans
