Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care consistent with RN or LPN scope of practice
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes clearly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document care and patient responses in the electronic health record with attention to detail
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create and follow care plans
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe transitions

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN or LPN license (ability to obtain Maine license prior to start)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred when applicable
• Minimum clinical experience at a level appropriate for the role (travel experience a plus)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program appropriate to licensure (ADN, diploma, or PN program). BSN preferred for Registered Nurses when noted by facility.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence for RNs as applicable
• Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Effective teamwork, time management, and prioritization in busy clinical settings
• Patient and family education techniques with a compassionate approach
• Ability to follow facility protocols and maintain high standards of infection control
