Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Support patient mobility, transfers and safe use of assistive devices
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output and changes in patient condition
- Assist nursing team with routine procedures and timely patient care tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families
- Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists and family members to coordinate care
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by demonstrating empathy and professionalism
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state required; T-CNA listed for this role
- Active basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a patient care role is preferred
- Comfortable working in a contract travel setting and adapting to new facilities
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
- Time management and ability to prioritize care tasks
