Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day or night, to be determined per roster); typically 3×12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) after first-week orientation; plus 2×12-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period. Orientation: 1 week up to 40 hours.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate intensive care to critically ill patients
- Assess and monitor patients continuously, interpreting hemodynamic and ventilator data
- Administer medications and interventions safely following protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans
- Document care thoroughly in the Meditech electronic health record
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code/rapid response situations
- Float to other critical care and step-down units as needed to meet patient care demands
- Support unit staffing and roster flexibility, contributing to a positive workplace
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
- Minimum 3 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (can submit proof or complete 45-minute online class as part of orientation)
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
- Ability to work flexible day or night 12-hour shifts and float to other units when needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic support
- Proficiency with Meditech or comparable EMR documentation
- Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize in high-acuity situations
- Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
- Competence in common ICU procedures and emergency interventions
