Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care during overnight hours to promote patient comfort and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care thoroughly
• Perform timely patient assessments and escalate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with nurses, CNAs and other care partners to coordinate seamless handoffs and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and complete required clinical documentation
• Support infection control practices, safe patient handling and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (Travel LPN or Travel RN candidates welcome)
• Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Demonstrated clinical skills in medication administration, patient assessment and documentation
• Comfort working independently on overnight shifts and escalating concerns appropriately
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and recognize changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic health records and basic computer documentation
• Excellent prioritization, time management and critical-thinking skills during overnight coverage
• Customer-service approach to interacting with patients, families and staff
