Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions with sharp clinical judgment and compassionate care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in line with facility policies
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Promote a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or a compact RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred — travel nurse experience is a plus
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and the ability to maintain focus during high-acuity times
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse care teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting skills
• Familiarity with common hospital equipment and monitoring devices
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
• Teamwork, patient advocacy, and patient-focused bedside manner
