Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the unit as the RN Unit Manager, providing clinical and operational direction
- Oversee utilization management activities to ensure efficient, patient-centered care
- Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, and on-call coverage to maintain continuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and Genesis - Northeast Region leadership
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and regulatory compliance
- Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to elevate care quality and morale
- Respond to on-call situations with professionalism and decisive action
- Drive improvements in patient flow, resource utilization, and patient experience
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license valid in Maine
- Experience as a Unit Manager or demonstrated leadership experience in nursing
- Familiarity with Utilization Management (UM) principles and processes
- Willingness and ability to participate in on-call coverage as noted in the job
- Available for a 15-week travel contract starting 2026-01-13 through 2026-04-21

- Strong unit management and leadership skills
- Practical knowledge of utilization management and patient flow
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make clinical and operational decisions
