Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform all computerized tomography scanning procedures safely and accurately
• Set up, monitor, and operate CT equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Position and transfer patients using accepted safety and lifting techniques
• Prepare and administer IV contrast media per radiologist protocols and monitor for reactions
• Capture, store and transfer digital images; maintain permanent records for each study
• Perform daily calibration and quality control on CT equipment and report repair needs
• Organize the daily patient schedule in cooperation with the team to keep flow efficient
• Assist radiologists with specialized procedures and provide clear clinical documentation
• Participate in departmental quality assessments and continuous improvement efforts
• Instruct and precept new personnel and help maintain registry and compliance records

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (required)
• Proven experience with Philips CT equipment (required)
• Traveler experience preferred
• Registry maintenance and documentation experience
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to assess allergies/medical history, perform contrast injections, and respond to emergencies
• Clean background and employment history aligned with the facility's expedited processing timeline

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) best practices and safety protocols
• Contrast media administration and monitoring for adverse reactions
• Patient positioning, transfer and immobilization techniques
• Digital image capture, storage, transfer and archiving
• Equipment calibration, daily QC and adherence to MRMC imaging protocols
• Basic emergency response and CPR
• Inventory and supply management for imaging departments
• Effective communication with radiologists, technologists and multidisciplinary teams
