Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days to be confirmed with scheduling team)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to elderly residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding)
- Perform safe transfers and ambulation assistance, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the licensed nursing staff
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in the resident record
- Support mealtime and hydration needs, including assistance with feeding when required
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to follow and support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent as required by Maryland
- Current CPR/BCLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass facility-required background check and drug screening
- Comfort and experience working night shifts and with geriatric populations
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Physical ability to perform resident transfers and sustained periods of standing/walking
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a GNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation/reporting of clinical changes
- Accurate charting and attention to detail
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and de-escalation techniques
