Shift Type: Days vary by facility, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to older adults, helping them maintain dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support safe mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics
- Observe and document resident status, behaviors, and changes; communicate these to the nursing team
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, respectful communication
- Participate in care plan implementation and team huddles to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — Maryland certification required or active in-state registration
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
- Reliable, professional attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident-centered care and empathy for older adults
- Assistance with ADLs and basic personal care
- Basic infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Observation skills for reporting changes in condition
- Basic documentation and charting skills; comfort using electronic records or paper charts
- Teamwork, time management, and clear communication with residents and staff
