Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (scheduled nights; specific days of week as assigned)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and behavioral changes accurately
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts during transfers and ambulation
- Follow care plans and communicate changes promptly to the nursing team
- Maintain infection control standards and keep resident environments clean and safe
- Document care thoroughly and participate in shift handoffs for continuity
- Offer emotional support and friendly companionship to residents and families
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- CPR/BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and any facility-specific screenings
- Comfort working night shifts and managing the physical demands of resident care
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and geriatric best practices
- Skilled in safe transfer techniques and resident mobility assistance
- Familiarity with charting and accurate documentation
- Understanding of infection control and emergency procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and staff
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
