Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, promoting dignity and comfort
• Support nurses by observing and reporting changes in residents’ conditions
• Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Help create a warm, safe environment and build meaningful connections with residents
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Assist with mealtime support and monitor dietary needs as directed

Qualifications

• Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent experience
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Proven ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and respect
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
• Comfortable with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Ability to observe, record, and report changes in resident status
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and safe hygiene practices
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
