Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support mealtime needs and ensure safe feeding practices
• Document care accurately and maintain resident dignity and privacy
• Work collaboratively with the care team to create a positive living environment

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification or equivalent in the state of Maryland
• Current CPR or BLS certification preferred
• Previous experience in long term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Basic vital signs and observation skills
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
