Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to geriatric residents in a rehab setting
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff and providers promptly
• Document care accurately and timely in facility records to ensure continuity of care
• Help create a welcoming environment that promotes independence and recovery

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
• Prior experience working with geriatric or rehab populations is highly valued
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited GNA/CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living and geriatric care best practices
• Safe patient handling and basic transfer techniques
• Infection control principles and proper use of PPE
• Basic vital sign collection and reporting
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
