Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and function
- Monitor and document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and injury prevention strategies
- Adjust treatment plans based on outcomes and communicate changes to the care team
- Support facility initiatives and participate in quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license (ability to obtain North Carolina license prior to start required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; related graduate degree considered
- Prior acute, outpatient, or rehabilitation experience preferred — you bring great hands-on skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or obtained upon hire
- Strong documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; compassion and professionalism are a must
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; or Master’s/Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and modalities
- Proficient in developing measurable goals and progress-driven treatment plans
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and movement techniques
- Ability to educate patients and families effectively and empathetically
- Comfortable working with a variety of diagnoses across the continuum of care
- Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
