Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, feeding and mobility
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient status and changes in condition accurately
• Collaborate with nurses and rehab staff to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification — required
• Prior experience working with elderly or rehab populations preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Able to pass facility background checks and meet health screening requirements
• Reliable, caring, and comfortable assisting with hands-on patient care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers and mobility assistance
• Able to take and accurately record vital signs and observe changes
• Familiar with basic rehab support and documentation best practices
• Strong communication, empathy and teamwork skills
• Comfortable following care plans and reporting concerns promptly
