Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and meal assistance
• Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Help with safe transfers and mobility support while following proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Support a positive living environment by assisting with meals, social engagement, and routines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED (see Education section for details)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with older adults and some experience in elder care preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of elder care best practices and resident-centered approaches
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety procedures
• Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
• Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
