Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with care and accuracy
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety protocols
- Position patients correctly and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and keep meticulous records
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the imaging team to support patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS/RIS and ensure timely image delivery
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required (as stated in the posting)
- Illinois State License required
- Comfortable performing a range of radiographic procedures and following safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Open to travel/contract assignment requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (typical requirement for the role)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS workflows and basic computer skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced clinical workload with professionalism
- Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and multidisciplinary teams
