Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document resident care clearly and accurately in charts or electronic records
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Participate in resident engagement and support social well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Comfortable working the listed day shift plus every other weekend and A/B holiday rotation
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
