Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for residents of Bel-Aire Center
- Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and families
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely
- Support continuity of care during transitions and handoffs between shifts
- Participate in unit initiatives to improve resident experience and outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — travel clinicians welcome
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred or required by many facilities
- Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or similar settings is a strong plus
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks for travel assignments
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, ASN or BSN for RNs; approved practical nursing program for LPNs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident assessment and care planning with attention to detail
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- IV skills and wound care experience appreciated where applicable
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and staff
