Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Monitor residents, take and document vital signs, and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Support rehabilitation and mobility programs under guidance of the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and care logs
• Follow infection control protocols and promote a safe, clean environment
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent; eligible applicants considered
• CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Preferred: prior long-term care or rehab experience supporting older adults
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, TB screening, and required immunizations
• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and understanding geriatric care needs
• Ability to take and accurately document vital signs and basic assessments
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents and care teams
• Knowledge of infection prevention, resident safety, and reporting procedures
• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and changing resident needs
