Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs using evidence-based tools
- Develop and implement individualized plans and therapy goals that support classroom success
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate strategies into the school day
- Document student progress, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings with clarity and timeliness
- Provide direct, engaging therapy to students across a range of ages and communication needs
- Support continuity of care during FMLA leave coverage with reliable, professional handoffs
- Recommend classroom accommodations and communication supports to help students thrive
Qualifications
- Colorado Ed Cert (CDE) for school-based SLP (listed as required in job data)
- Valid SLP credentials and school-based experience (school-based SLP preferred)
- Experience delivering speech-language services in K-12 settings
- District requires three professional references to be contacted prior to offer
- New graduates: N/A for this assignment (position not open to new grads per job data)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in speech-language pathology assessments and interventions
- Comfortable with school-based services, IEP processes, and documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
- Familiarity with classroom-based therapy strategies and accommodations
- Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize duties, and maintain accurate records
