Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs using evidence-based tools
• Develop and implement individualized plans and therapy goals that support classroom success
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate strategies into the school day
• Document student progress, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings with clarity and timeliness
• Provide direct, engaging therapy to students across a range of ages and communication needs
• Support continuity of care during FMLA leave coverage with reliable, professional handoffs
• Recommend classroom accommodations and communication supports to help students thrive

Qualifications

• Colorado Ed Cert (CDE) for school-based SLP (listed as required in job data)
• Valid SLP credentials and school-based experience (school-based SLP preferred)
• Experience delivering speech-language services in K-12 settings
• District requires three professional references to be contacted prior to offer
• New graduates: N/A for this assignment (position not open to new grads per job data)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in speech-language pathology assessments and interventions
• Comfortable with school-based services, IEP processes, and documentation
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators and families
• Familiarity with classroom-based therapy strategies and accommodations
• Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize duties, and maintain accurate records
