Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (overnight). Exact days vary by assignment and will be confirmed during scheduling.

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients during overnight hours
- Perform thorough assessments and document patient status, changes, and interventions clearly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders and policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to clinical changes and emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans in a respectful way
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control, safety, and documentation standards
- Support smooth handoffs and clear communication with day teams to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (RN) in New Mexico or compact state eligibility as required
- Relevant clinical experience in hospital/acute care settings preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
- Ability to work overnight hours reliably and maintain professional communication with patients and team
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a patient-focused approach
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or Diploma required)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring for acute and chronic conditions
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Proficient charting in electronic medical records and clear handoff communication
- Basic emergency response and triage skills for overnight care
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
- Infection prevention, safety protocols, and adherence to facility policies
