Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12.5-hour overnight); specific days set by facility (days not specified in posting)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Assess, monitor and document patient status; intervene when changes occur
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Perform thorough shift-to-shift handoffs and maintain clear patient records
- Support patient and family education, answering questions with empathy and clarity
- Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe healing environment
Qualifications
- Current, active RN or LPN license (able to practice in New Mexico; compact license accepted if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS and PALS preferred where clinically appropriate
- Prior acute care or med-surg experience preferred; travel/contract experience a plus
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN/BSN for RN; accredited PN/LPN program for LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and bedside nursing skills
- Medication administration and safety practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Ability to triage and escalate changes in patient condition
- Teamwork and effective interdisciplinary communication
- Time management for overnight workflow and patient needs
