Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with facility policies
- Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and protocols
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate charting and comply with infection control and safety standards
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and supporting quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Maryland license or compact/multistate where applicable
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
- Clinical experience in acute care or relevant specialty is preferred but enthusiastic newer RNs are welcome
- Strong assessment, medication administration and IV skills
- Ability to pass facility background check and drug screening as required
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical judgement
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Infection control principles and safe patient handling
- Effective teamwork, time management and prioritization
- Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
