Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients, documenting changes clearly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth handoffs
- Respond quickly and effectively to patient changes and emergencies
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the clinical record
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPN candidates were also referenced in the posting)
- Current, verifiable nursing credentials and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Comfort and experience working night shifts and supporting a dynamic patient population
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) for RNs; accredited practical nursing program for LPNs as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Effective communication and teamwork in a hospital/long-term care setting
- Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation (facility-specific orientation provided)
