Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients, documenting changes clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth handoffs
• Respond quickly and effectively to patient changes and emergencies
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the clinical record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPN candidates were also referenced in the posting)
• Current, verifiable nursing credentials and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort and experience working night shifts and supporting a dynamic patient population
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) for RNs; accredited practical nursing program for LPNs as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Effective communication and teamwork in a hospital/long-term care setting
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation (facility-specific orientation provided)
