Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Support mealtime routines and assist with feeding when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and observations
• Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, safe environment for residents
• Help with safe transfers and fall prevention practices to keep residents secure

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — your core credential for this role
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtained upon hire, depending on facility)
• Comfortable caring for older adults and working within a long-term/post-acute setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (as required by facility policies)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic resident care skills and familiarity with geriatric needs
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Observation and reporting of changes in resident condition
• Infection control and proper use of PPE
• Friendly bedside manner and the ability to build rapport quickly
